Sister Macey Gates // Week Seventy-Six

FELIZ PASCUA!!!
Holy wild donkeys(we have them here) time is flying by. This week was really good. A good week for me to learn a lot. So my comp is just super distracted all the time hahaha its really trying my patience. And this week she just had no desire to work. It was so hard, but we just have to keep swimming and do our best. She is doing way good tho now and we are working hard. Conference was SO amazing. I didn't want it to end. All the questions/concerns i had were answered. Those people who spoke were truly inspired!

So last monday we went to Lake Perris with our zone, it was fun! We played ultimate frisbee, i totally suck, but i got a touch down thing or what ever its called so i was pretty dang proud of my self haha. And the Ramirez family that lives in Corona came to visit me and Santoyo before i left. I hadn't seen them in almost a year. It was the best present ever:)  Also a family that we have been working with got sealed in the salt lake temple this weekend. They are active members, and so amazing, the only thing they lacked was getting sealed. So we set a goal with them and they did it:) I am so happy for them!! On Wednesday we had the opportunity to help with the Easter activity and entertain all the little kids, its was so fun! And so tiring.  We had MLC this week, and it was my last one. It was so amazing, but at the same time everyone was just talking about me going home. THIS IS  HARDER THAN I THOUGHT. And i had to say bye to some of my best friends here in the mission.

So we had this crazy lesson with the husband of one of our members who is a non member. He is crazy, and thinks he knows everything and then when we ask him questions he doesn't know the answers. He was super rude to us too, telling us that he would rather have experienced older people coming to teach him, to really relate with them, and all kinds of other stuff. But of course we stuck up for ourselves, and it truly gave me a testimony that I have been called here to this specific mission, to this specific area to teach him. That guy definitely felt the spirit as we were teaching and he just didn't want to admit it. Were gonna get him baptized:) But after that lesson we felt so good, and after talking about it for a sec we figured out that we feel so good because stood up for our Heavenly Father. It feel so good to do that.  I love this scripture: John 6: 65-68 Its so amazing to be here, to be able to teach people exactly how to gain eternal life. But just like they said in conference, for those who will not except the gospel right now, we must watch, wait, but never stop showing our love.

We had the opportunity to find this cute couple, Irma y Eduardo. And they actually took their grandkids to the easter activity which is awesome! We had quite the first two lessons with them, they were super receptive, probably cause one of their really catholic friends was there one of the times but yesterday we went and finished teaching them the restoration, the spirit was so strong as we were teaching about the BOM. We asked them to be baptized and they said yes, when they know a little more(thats understandable). That was our little miracle of the week:)

I love my mission so much, its the best thing thats ever happened to me. Every time I think about not being here it breaks my heart but I know God has other plans in store for me. I know my Savior lives, and i know that because if i didn't  i wouldn't have lasted one day out here. I love this gospel more than anything. I want to invite everyone to live what they truly claim to be true! I love you all so much!! I hope you have the most amazing week:)
