Sister Macey Gates // Week One // "Hermana Gates"

Tell Kylie and Eryka i am so happy for them!!! The MTC is so so sosososososo great. I love it with all my heart.  The language is coming along so good.  We were put in an intermediate class the first day. ya that was hard.  They moved us the next day to the beginning class. we felt kinda stupid but it ended up being a blessing cause we keep the boys in our district focused and we study alot alot.  We love our teacher so much.  He comes and tells us everyday how impressed he is with us that we are studying so hard.  We had to teach an investigator or first day and second it got better each time!! Yesterday we were studying outside cause we couldnt focus and our teacher came out to us and told us the boys taught him the word narly and wanted to make sure they werent making it up ahaha he likes learning from us also.  He promised us yesterday that if we keep studying like we are he will teach us faster than the boys and when we leave the MTC we will speak the language fluently.  Holy moly the spirit was so strong. He helps us to be so motivated.  It was our turn to teach the investigator Jose for the third time.  The gift of tongues and discernment is real.  We nailed it. I cant even explain to you how blessed we feel and it was only the fifth day.  The language is fun to learn!! We go out and have to tell ten people our testimonies everyday before lunch and its amazing!! Even the workers who arent even mormon listen to us and let us bear it to them.  The food. uhhh its mexican and stuff.  Its okay!! there are definitely some meals that are better but they have a station that you can have nutella and peanut butter and jelly and bread you can just do whatever you want in case you don{t like the food.  We eat cereal alot cause its good and we know we like it. ahahah I love love love my companion.  SHE LIKE TO RUN ITS THE BEST THING EVER!!!! She is so motivated to study and we are on the same track.  We talk about everything to each other. She is like my best friend. No one could ever top callie but i do love her alot.  The first night was the worst night ever. The showers were broken or we just didnt know how to work them hahah the shower was ice cold and it was freezing!!!! I was shivering so hard in the night it was hurting my cramps so they were alot worse. I got about 2 hours of sleep but the next morning i couldn{t help but just be grateful for everything i have and for the opportunity to be there.  Its absolutely amazing!!! I will write you to tell you more. Tuesday is our P day! We got to go to the temple today and it was in spanish but they gave us head phones in english for our first time. Me and Hermana Homer brought our patriarchal blessings with us to read in the celestial room.  After i read it i was crying like always but then i prayed after and without even thinking i thanked heavenly father for having kameron there with me.  I know he was there with me and let me know i was doing the right thing and he loves us.  He is watching over us mom.  It was the coolest experience i have ever had.  I know grandpa gates was there too. and i thanked heavenly father for him being there also.  the church is so true and i cant help but just be so thankful my family is forever.  Me and hermana Homer fasted on sunday to get extra help and i know having kameron there with me today was the answer to my prayers.I love this work so much and i love it here.  I love meeting new people and joking around with the elders when we eat cause we cant sit on the same table as them so we do it just to be funny so they have to move.  I miss you guys alot and you dont need to send any packages i am getting along just fine!! Tell everyone i love them!!! Yo se que la iglesia de jesu christo es verdadero y Dios los amo.  Yo se que podemos ser liverados del pecado medianto el expiacion de jesu christo.  Yo se que el libro de mormon fue inspirado por dios.  Yo se que dios es nuestro padre celestial. yo se que cuando oramos, Dios escuchar nuestros oraciaones.  Yo se que a traves el expiacion, podemes tener la eterna.  Yo se que mi familia es eterna.  En el nombre de jesu christo amen.  I love you guys and the support you give me and dont ever forget that!!!!
